The Courtyard was built over 200 years ago in rustic Cheshire brick and is perfectly placed in the lea of Helsby Hill, a beautiful Cheshire landmark and the site of an Iron Age Fort.

The Courtyard offers a quiet and relaxing place to stay combined with an excellent location just minutes from M56, jct 14 and two minutes walk from Helsby train station. Close to local shops, pubs, restaurants and just ten minutes from Chester Zoo, Cheshire Oaks for shopping, Blue Planet Aquarium and three of Cheshire's Gardens of Distinction.

The Courtyard is also a perfect base for walkers (Frodsham is the start of the Sandstone Trail) and cycling in Delamere Forest – so something to suit every one close by.

Roger and Jill live in The Courtyard in Rake House a Grade ll Listed farmhouse, they have a wealth of knowledge about the area and are always on hand to provide you with a personal service to ensure that you get the most out of your stay.

Visiting The Courtyard by train has never been easier due to the new service offered by Virgin Trains. You can travel from London Euston to Helsby in less than 2 hours 15 minutes and once you have arrived, you can travel around by bus which stops at the top of the lane or continue the adventure using the train and visiting Chester, Liverpool, Manchester and North Wales.
